The new FoSCoS portal license/FSSAI registration method
- The individual looking for a new licence must go to the FoSCoS portal. The choices are straightforward since they must be selected from the website’s drop-down/page list.

- The FBO or Food operation Operator must then choose a place for his operation.
- The FBO must choose the state in which he or she will conduct business from a drop-down selection. The FBO who want to do business on railway property must first choose the train station where the business will be conducted. The FBO that want to conduct business at an airport/seaport must pick the appropriate airport/seaport from the dropdown list.
- Following that, the FBO or Food Business operator must choose the precise business that he or she will run. The procedure is known as KoB. KoB is an abbreviation for “Kind of Business” on the FoSCoS website.
- The food business operator or FBO must choose from the available possibilities. Manufacturer, trade/retail, food services, central government agency, or head office are the alternatives. Following the selection of the suitable choice, the FBO or Food Business Operator must pick the precise type of his business from the list provided under his selected option. Dairy units, vegetable oil and processing units, slaughtering units, processing of meat units, fish and fish products, food or health supplements or nutraceuticals, etc., general manufacturing, proprietary food, non-specified food and food ingredients, substances added to food, radiation processing of food, 100 percent export oriented units, and exporter-manufacturer are examples of manufacturing options.

- An FSSAI FoSCoS Basic Licence would be required for any FBO or food company operator with a revenue of less than 12 lakhs. An FSSAI FoSCoS State Licence would be required for every FBO with a revenue of 12 lacs to 20 crores. An FSSAI FoSCoS Central licence would be required for every FBO with a revenue of more than 20 crores.

FSSAI and FOSCOs’ Relationship
