EPFO’s unique account number serves as a single identifier for different member IDs issued to one person by various institutions. Every employee who participates in the Employee Provident Fund (EPF) Plan receives a Universal Account Number (UAN). This 12-digit number enables an employee to link all of his or her PF accounts from several organisations and access them via a single portal known as the UAN Portal. This site contains KYC information, a service record, and a UAN card, among other things. The use of Login to UAN

The procedures for logging into the UAN Portal are as follows.

Step 1: Access the webpage.

The user must first sign in to the official website.

Step 2: Go to Our Services.

On the main page, the user must choose the ‘Our Services’ choice form.

Step 3: Access the UAN Portal

Step 4: Choose Workers.

The user must choose ‘For Employees’ from our offerings.

Step 5: Choose Member Passbook.

The user must then choose ‘Member Passbook’.

Step 6: Access the UAN Portal

The user may examine the UAN card, profile, and service history after logging in.

Process for Obtaining a UAN

The user must first access the UAN Login Portal. Below are the procedures to accessing the portal.

Step 1: Choose Activate UAN.

Under the ‘Important Links’ area, the user must choose ‘Activate UAN’.

Step 1: Access the UAN Portal

Step 2: Fill in the Blanks

The user must input their information and then click on the ‘Get Authorization PIN’ button. A PIN will be provided to the registered mobile phone number with EPFO.

Step 2: Access the UAN Portal

Step 3: Enter your PIN.

To activate the UAN account, the user must input the PIN. The user will get an SMS with a computerised password.

The user must update his or her password after logging in.

The processes for verifying the UAN Status on the EPF Portal are as follows.

Step 1: Access the Portal.

The applicant must first access the EPF Portal.

Step 2: Choose Our Services.

The candidate must choose ‘Our Services’ and then ‘For Workers’.

Step 3: Choose UAN Online Service.

After the selection of UAN Online Service, the applicant must choose UAN Online Service (OCS/ OTCP).

The applicant must go to the ‘Know Your UAN Status’ website.

The applicant must provide information such as their PF number, Member ID, PAN, or Aadhar number, date of birth, and cellphone number.

Step 5: Access the UAN Portal

Step 6: Choose the Obtain Authorization Pin option.

The applicant must choose the ‘Obtain Authorization Pin’ option. The authentication pin will be sent to the registered mobile phone number.

Step 7: Choose Validate OTP and Retrieve UAN.

The applicant must click on ‘Validate OTP and Obtain UAN’ after getting the authorization pin.

Step 8: Get a UAN number

The UAN number and status will be delivered to the registered phone number via SMS.

Passbook UAN

Members must first register on the Unified Member Portal in order to see the passbook online. Members may access the passbook online six hours after registering. Passbook service is not available to Exempted Establishment Members, Settles Members, or Inoperative Members.

Passbook Online Access Method

Step 1: Access the Portal.

The applicant must first access the EPF Portal.

Step 3: Choose Member Passbook.

EPFO services are available via apps that may be downloaded from the website of the Unified Mobile App for New Governance (UMANG) or through the play store or app store.

e-Passbook Registration Process

To register, a person must first activate their UAN. This is possible via the EPF. When it has been authenticated, the e-passbook may be downloaded within three business days. The user must first log in to the portal and then choose the ‘Download e-Passbook’ option. To use the site, the user must input their UAN Number and password.

Balance Checking Process

Anyone may check their balance via the EPFO Portal by following the procedures below.

Password Recovery

Step 1: Choose Forgot Password.

Step 3: Type in the OTP

The user must input the OTP supplied to the registered mobile phone number.

After entering the OTP, click ‘Submit’.

The user may now reset his or her password and access the UAN Portal.

Services Available Online

Claim

The Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) has created a new composite claim form to make it easier to withdraw PF in whole or in part. The claim portion consists of three forms: Form 31, 19, and 10C. Aadhaar must be connected to UAN in order to claim full/partial withdrawal using Composite Claim Form.

Transfer

The PF balance from the prior account may be transferred to the present account. The user must ensure that

• The KYC information on the website is up to current.

• The prior or current bank account information, as well as the IFSC, are seeded into the UAN database.

• The KYC information is seeded against the UAN.

In the prior PF account, only one transfer request may be made.

EPF Claim Status Monitoring

The status of an EPF claim may be followed using the ‘Track Claim Status’ component of the UAN Login Portal. There is no need to input the PF account number’s acknowledgment number.
